  • Kyle Busch Slams Joey Logano, NASCAR After Crash finished Daytona 500 BID early

Kyle Busch had a lot of criticism to go around after his car was part of a major stack in Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Busch was taken in an accident from the start of Stade 2, which he blamed in Joey Logano.

“It looks like the fastest car rushed to go to the wreckage,” said Busch about Logano, whose bump with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. triggered the chain reaction. “We still have 20 laps to do and he tries to go to the middle and make a hole that is not there and just created chaos …

“You should know how width your racing car is to find a hole in which it will integrate. And he obviously does not know.”

But Busch, who has never won in his 20 departures at Daytona 500, saved his hardest words for Nascar, after the race officials denied his attempt to return on the track.

Busch’s Chevrolet n ° 8 seemed to avoid major wreck damage, although it needs to be towed in the garage area. After replacing the four tires, the car returned to the race under caution. But once Busch opposed yellow for more repairs, Nascar has brought it to the race.

Busch complained later, he did not have the opportunity to return to the track and at the speed. He went to social networks after not having obtained what he thought was a satisfactory explanation.

“The race has never returned to Green,” he wrote. “I don’t think they know their own rules or procedures.”

Nascar’s new damaged vehicle policy is designed to give teams a chance to make repairs and continue to run. However, officials said Busch had to reach a minimum speed immediately after the garage repairs ended. Under the rules, his visit to the stands for something other than fuel allowed him to be parked for the rest of the race.

Kyle Busch was one of the prerace favorites for the Daytona 500 of this year, even if he has never won the Nascar signature event in 20 departures.Kyle Busch was one of the prerace favorites for the Daytona 500 of this year, even if he has never won the Nascar signature event in 20 departures.

Kyle Busch was one of the prerace favorites for the Daytona 500 of this year, even if he has never won the Nascar signature event in 20 departures.

The decision was perhaps even more frustrating for Busch in Daytona.

Despite 63 serial victories from the Nascar Cup (ninth of all time) and two seasonal championships, Busch never won the Daytona 500 in 20 attempts.

Madison Keys was on the strings, but joined Wednesday to qualify for the semi-finals of Australian Open.

N ° 28 Elina Svitolina first struck the Keys of 12th seeded, but Keys obtained a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory in the first final match of the day at Rod Laver Arena . Keys’ victory follows the quarter -finals of the third head of Coco Gauff, which was turned upside down by the Spanish seed of Paula Badosa.

Next for Keys is the seeded n ° 2 IGA Swiatek, who crossed the seeded n ° 8 Emma Navarro in the quarter-final of other women on Wednesday to spoil a chance in an American semi-final. Swiatek broke Navarro on the match opening service, giving the tone to a dominant victory 6-1, 6-2.

Keys and Svitolina played even earlier, because each player was on the road to a 4-3 lead for Svitolina. But the uncant-up errors finally caught up with the keys while Svitolina scored the first break from the match to take a 5-3 lead. Svitolina then served for the set and held a 6-3 victory.

Keys made 15 uncomposed mistakes in the opening set, only four for Svitolina. But Keys regained his composure in the second set to even increase the match.

Keys first faced a chance to take control in the second set with three break points in the fourth game in the set. But Svitolina fought to win the match and thwart Keys’ best effort to this point to shoot the match in his favor.

But the keys have capitalized on the next Svitolina service. She had two breaking points and sent a forehand on the right line that Svitolina could not reach in time to mark her first break from the match and take a 4-2 lead. She held a service from there for a 6-3 victory to send the match to a third decisive set.

There, Keys struck the first with a break from Svitolina to take a 3-2 lead. Svitolina did not return the break and the keys kept to secure the match in service.

Keys, 29, is advancing in the semi-final in search of his first Grand Chelem title and his second appearance in the final after a 2017 defeat against Sloane Stephens in the 2017 American finals. This is the third time that She progressed beyond the quarter-finals of Melbourne.

It seems that the reunification of male professional golf course takes place as soon as possible, especially after President Donald Trump has been involved since his entry into office. Whether it’s a golf game with Rory McILroy, with Woods last Sunday before the Super Bowl or when Adam Scott and the PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan went to the White House last week, the wheels move on the best players Coming more than simply the main championships.

Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman de CBS Sports interviewed Woods about the reunification and the state of the professional golf of men, and he gave a perceptive response.

“I think we are in a very positive place right now,” said Woods. “We had a meeting with the president. Unfortunately, I had other circumstances that came but Jay (Monahan) and Adam (Scott), they did very well during the meeting. We have another later meeting.

“I think things will heal quickly. We have been passing this game in the right direction, it has been going in the wrong direction for several years. Fans all want us to play together, all the best players to play together and we are going get there.

Woods’ comments have echoed that the others have said in recent weeks, that it seems that the wheels are moving and things are improving.

    How long could it be?

“Could it be this year? Or could it be very soon this year?” Asked Nantz.

“Yes. Yes and yes,” replied Woods, laughing.

This is a new positive for professional golf fans, but only time will tell us how and when unification will happen.

  • Sarah Hildebrandt, Olympic fighting champion, withdrew to become deputy coach of the national team

Sarah Hildebrandt retires after winning Olympic Gold in Paris to become a deputy coach of the national wrestling team in the United States.

“Much of this (the decision) was, obviously, I had a very long career, and I was able to discover what the struggle gave and taught me,” Hildebrandt said. “It really made me so passionate about what this sport can do for people. … If I can just bring a passion and support energy to help someone in their trip, a bit like a handful of Door to open their own adventure, it’s exciting for me.

In Paris, Hildebrandt became the fourth American woman to win Olympic wrestling gold, one day after her teammate Amit Elor became the third.

Hildebrandt thought of retiring after Paris before and after the matches. But she also thought that way in Tokyo Games.

After her Olympic gold, she wrote each time she had the feeling of wanting to go back to competition and each time she had the feeling of not wanting to come back.

“I really felt nervous and, I don’t know, right next to myself,” she said. “I felt this call to want to do something not only for me.

“I’m sure there will be times when I am, oh, I’m ready to put my singlet, but I will have these feelings the rest of my life.”

Helen Maroulis (Rio 2016) and Tamyra Mensah-Stock (Tokyo 2020) previously won Olympic titles.

Hildebrandt, 31, also won the Olympic bronze in Tokyo, plus four silver or bronze medals of the world championships.

“It’s not just what she did; This is how she did it, “said the coach of the national team Terry Steiner in a press release.” She went through everything. He was a child who could not have the national team and fought. She was part of the world team and fought. She injured herself. It was then that she did things, took a break and changed. Due to his experiences, there is not a person in our national team and around our program that does not respect them. Respect does not only concern its accomplishment in Paris; This is how she reinvented herself to become a great champion and a great human being. She will become an excellent coach. “”

And then there was a case where Taremi approached very close to the spectacular.

However, Taremi’s efforts were just wide.

And after that, Iranian could not really find space in the penalty zone.

Then there was a chance of counterattack where Mehdi Taremi did not manage to choose his teammate Lautaro Martinez.

It turned out to be very expensive at the end.

The Australian 2025 open semi-finals are fixed. Wednesday’s matches finalized the opponents, and there is an American left standing in simple male: 22 years old Ben Shelton.

Shelton, seeded n ° 21, has won an exhausting quarter -final against Cinderella not groped Lorenzo SonegoThe battant 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (4). SONEGO and Shelton were well matched as competitors and each set was strongly disputed, until equality break at the end. And if someone wondered how Sonego, 29, currently classified n ° 55 in the world, reached the first quarter -final of the Grand Chelem of his career, all he had to do was to look. SONEGO had made extraordinary points all over the tournament.

But Wednesday, points like that were not enough for Sonego to exceed Shelton. Shelton has been a talent that simmer slowly in recent years, and now it seems ready to boil and perhaps even to move closer to the ATP ranking.

Jannik sinnerSeed n ° 1 and the title champion of the Aussie Open, had more facilitated against the seeded n ° 8 Alex de Minaur. While the last Australian standing in simple male and female, the crowd was firmly on the side of Minaur, but Sinner still won a 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 victory in less than two hours.

Now Shelton, appearing in his second semi-final of the Grand Chelem in a career and the first Australian open semi-final, will have to face the world n ° 1. And unfortunately, the story is not on its side. Sinner played 14 Americans in the Grand Chelem tournaments and beaten each of them. Although the chances are stacked against him, Shelton will try to obtain a victory in the United States and participate in his very first Grand Slam final.

Then, of course, in the final, Shelton should play Novak Djokovic or Alexander Zverev, who competes in the other semi-final match on Friday.

Earlier Wednesday, the American seeded n ° 12, Madison Keys, reached the semi-finals, where she will face the seeded n ° 2 IGA Swiatek. In the other semi-final, the n ° 1 Aryna Sabalenka will face the No. 11 Paula Badosa.

“Mom would take me to every junior event here in southern California. … She was driving there and maintained a score, walked at each hole and how many putts I hit, how many fairways I hit, how many greens I hit. • Keely Hodgkinson leads “ different ” Keely Klassic to reveal a new potential after the injury injury

One afternoon when Keely Hodgkinson had planned to claim a world record, the Queen of Athletics of Great Britain may have discovered something more precious.

The sorrow of his shock injury this week, knowing a daring race to eliminate the longtime brand of Jolanda Ceplak by 1m 55.82 seconds, had calmed somewhat while hundreds of young adorant girls proved to offer submerged support to their idol at the inaugural Klassic.

This tear of the hamstrings is a blow, in particular in the short term, refusing to the gold medalist in Paris a shot to another crown at the world indoor championships in Nanjing, China, next month. But the 22 -year -old woman remains optimistic.

So, without Hodgkinson, the attention turned to Georgia Hunter Bell on the track, and she flirted with the British record of 1,500 m, only to fall six tenths of the second short, but still producing an impressive race to win in 4 minutes 0.63 seconds.

“It looked like a truly fun atmosphere,” said Hunter Bell, with the European championships and the indoor world next to her schedule as she asks to support her bronze medal in Paris. “When we got out, everyone was dancing, so it was a little different from the usual meeting.”

Join the Olympic bronze medalist like the biggest attractions without Hodgkinson was the Olympian Neil Gourley, who broke the British room record of 1000m in 2 minutes 16.74 seconds to compete for a race for Europe and , while waiting for an all-powerful inner battle in one of the deepest events, the indoor world championships too.

“There are a lot of children here, I fell before and I did a lot of signing autographs, and I felt bad because I was not running,” Hodgkinson pointed out during the success assessment of its event. “Many of them told me that they were not athletics but are there, which is quite nice.

“The gold medal allowed me to play events like this and bring a new generation to sport to take advantage of looking at it. More or less, I think that I like to do my best and everything that comes from it comes from that. It’s so incredible to hear the stories of little girls and boys who watched me play in Paris, that’s what really inspires me. »»

His satisfaction occurs a few days after Michael Johnson criticized the format of the event after the unhappy injury removed her star attraction. “The current sport structure does not work,” said the quadruple Olympic champion, a few weeks before his own business to reshape the sport with the Grand Slam track in the American series. “You cannot build around a star. It is not convincing. Competition is. And it’s too big risk and the broadcasters know it. »»

He could have a point on the broadcast, with the disappointing BBC move to snub the event during a week of fallow of six nations.

But Hodgkinson inspired a new fans base and this event has attracted a rare crowd, certainly not with full capacity, but mainly filled with children, a difficult feat in professional sport with the temptation to neglect sport for other interests .

Positioned at the heart of the arena, in the four of the 60 m track, was held a gold and red throne. While waiting for potential record breakers, like Lina Nielsen, who joyfully jumped in front of a worshiped crowd after having broken the 300m British record with a 36.53 seconds.

There was no world record here, barely 12 hours after the superb 5,000 m of Grant Fisher (12 minutes 44.09 seconds) added to a revolutionary season in the world. But it was an entirely different atmosphere and demography: fans seemed less embarrassed by breathtaking divisions and more forced to get out of their seats and dance on the different successes played by the DJ Tony Perry.

You have also been struck by the hundreds of young girls present, obviously inspired by what Hodgkinson has done for British athletics.

“It was a killing with Keely injuring her hamstrings, who was always going to have an impact on the media threshing behind this, she was obviously the star attraction, for obvious reasons,” said Goulery. “It was a shame. But it seems that people have taken it again, we still have enough talent in this country, like Georgia [Hunter Bell]So that this thing stands alone. We need a date on the circuit of this country, we really do it, whatever the form or the form. »»

Hodgkinson is now faced with his most difficult test to date on the road to Tokyo, his injury offering a new challenge after reaching the size last year.

“I find that [overcoming an injury] Really motivating to be honest and I like a good challenge, ”concluded Hodgkinson. “It gives me motivation.

“Probably now returning from the injury and also by mixing this pressure from being the reigning Olympic champion, it’s a new experience for all of us in the team. But we seek to take it.

  • “The Rashford of old”? – Yahoo Sports

    Rashford Second Stats against Ipswich

    [BBC]

Former Premier League striker Glenn Murray thinks that Aston Villa fans have seen “the Marcus Rashford of Old” in the second half of the 1-1 draw on Saturday against Ipswich.

The loan of Manchester United was replaced at halftime with his team 1-0 and had an impact on the game with a direct race, a physics and an intention.

It was his beautiful free kick that struck the crossbar and fell to Ollie Watkins to mark the equalizer of the rebound.

Without some late heroic of Ipswich goalkeeper, Alex Palmer, Rashford would have forced the winner when his cross was deflected towards his own goal by Conor Townsend.

A player recently criticized for his work rate, he also recorded impressive defensive numbers, making three plated alongside seven duels to illustrate his commitment to help the team.

“I looked at him and it seemed that a weight had been removed from his shoulders,” Murray told Podcast Daily Football.

“He looked like the Marcus Rashford of old – running on people, committing defenders, being positive in his final product.

“We all knew that it was there, we all knew that he was capable of it. It was long. Aston Villa fans hope that they will continue to see this.

    “Really refreshing of Marcus Rashford.”
