Kyle Busch was not happy after the first race of Daytona 500 and the crash which ended his chances of winning the biggest Nascar race.
In his post-crash interview with Fox, Busch was not delighted with the aggressive movement of Joey Logano who led to the Crash of the Tour 186 which involved Busch and several others near the front of the field. Busch then turned his attention to Nascar officials speaking with the media.
The double champion of the Cup series believed that his n ° 8 Richard Childe Chevrolet could have continued in the Sunday race, but could not partly because of the procedural decisions of Nascar.
“We were again beaten by NASCAR procedures,” Busch told several media members after the race.
Sunday’s race was the first regular season race under the new damaged vehicle rules for NASCAR which allow teams to work on damaged cars without time limit in the garage area, a change from the rules of the DVP in recent seasons.
“(Nascar) towed us in a working field where our guys examined the car, looked at the car and saw nothing wrong. All the wheels were pointed in the right direction,” said Busch. “We have put four new tires on it to come back to see what the next process for us would be.”

Busch said NASCAR officials told his team that they should return to the garage to work more on the car, except that he had not been able to make a minimum speed because the race was still in caution. As part of the new DVP, the teams must reach a minimum speed before returning to the garage area for more repairs or being excluded from the race.
“So what are we supposed to do to continue working on it now that we have four new tires on it and that all the wheels are pointed out in the right direction?” Busch Impanne.
It was credited with a 34th place in the Sunday race.
Busch media ventilation was not enough.
“Built by Nascar officials,” Busch tweeted on X Sunday evening. “The rule says that you have 3 attempts to make a minimum speed. The race has never gone back to green. I don’t even think they know their own rules or procedures.”
