Formula 1 broke its previous audience record live Tuesday at the 75th anniversary of the sport, F1 75 Live, at the O2 Arena in London.
The event has raised 1.1 million lives to its peak and 4.6 million viewers in total in the direct broadcast of YouTube. The largest crowd in sport for a live event was only 289,000 at its peak.
The two -hour show, where the 20 pilots revealed that deliveries of F1 2025 cars associated with musical acts and celebrity appearances, were broadcast free of charge in the social networks of sport.
The event was also trendy on social networks, with # F175 which has become viral.
The evening was a starry business. The actor and actor Jack Whitehall organized the event with a stand-up comedy routine and an opening monologue full of the biggest F1 scenarios in 2024: the off-track drama. He was joined by the distribution of F1TV presenters, Laura Winters, Ariana Bravo and Lawrence Barretto.
American country singer Kane Brown was the first act while rapper MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) and singer Tems followed with sparkling and fire performances. The man behind the F1 theme song, Brian Tyler, made a special appearance and that closed the evening.
Despite Gordon Ramsay, Idris Elba and other celebrities that line the O2, most of the evening was the first public appearance of the world champion seven times Lewis Hamilton with Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc.
“I feel so full of life and so much energy because everything is new,” said Hamilton when the SF-25 challenger was revealed. Drivers and team directors through the F1 grid predict that the 40 -year -old driver is a title candidate this season.
“Tonight was an incredible event and a huge success,” said Stefano Domenicinici, CEO of Formula 1. “As a sport, we have done something together that has never been done in the history of F1 before . We are always celebrating and respecting our incredible history while looking towards the future to engage new fans around the world. »»
